Everything has seasons, and we have to be able to recognize when something's time has passed and be able to move into the next season; Taking lessons learned and letting go of what isn’t useful.
The journey with the Renaissance Festival was truly unforgettable.
So many stories, so many memories, so much food, so many diverse personalities. But I am stronger because of the opportunity not only as a caterer, but as a leader. Being around 20-somethings for seven weeks was eye-opening and watching them learn culinary arts and grow into it was inspiring.
If nothing else, I learned what not to do, LOL, and that if things stay the same, they become mediocre and stagnant. And without a timeline/organization/expectations/duties and descriptions, as well as the minutia of what is necessary for the perceived value of a wedding or event to have your client/guests be able to make lifetime memories without regret or disappointment, well… ummmmm, you actually need to know what you’re doing or have an experienced planner do it with you. This is definitely not something you wing it on. OMG,
I can’t begin to express how imperative and necessary this is.
But I digress;
SO, all in all it was like out of a movie, and I will never regret or forget it.
I never dreamed I would be Catering and serving lunches and dinners, to a king or queen & their courts.
(But then again I did cater for a former first lady and presidential candidate, so well that makes sense I guess…)
I am just relieved and grateful that it’s over. AND ACTUALLY THANKFUL FOR THE EXPERIENCE.
